Three numbers are in the ratio of 34:49:512\frac{3}{4}:\frac{4}{9}:\frac{5}{12}. The difference between the greatest and the smallest number is 120. Find the sum of all three numbers.

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 2 i.e. 580.

34:49:512\frac{3}{4}:\frac{4}{9}:\frac{5}{12} = 27 : 16 : 15

According to the question,

⇒ 27x - 15x = 120

⇒ 12x = 120

⇒ x = 10

Sum of all three numbers = 58x = 58 × 10 = 580
