Three numbers are in the ratio of 1 : 2 : 3. The product of the three numbers is 1296. What is the sum of the three numbers?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 36.

According to the question- 

Ratio of the numbers is 1:2:3.

Let the constant factor be k.

Thus, the numbers are k, 2k, and 3k.

Now,

⇒ k × 2k × 3k = 1296

⇒ 6k3 = 1296

⇒ k = 6

Therefore the numbers are - 

First number = 6

Second number = 12

Third number = 18

Thus,

The sum of the numbers = 6 + 12 + 18 = 36
