Three circle C1, C2 and C3 with radii r1, r2 and r3 (where r1 < r2 < r3) are placed as shown in the figure. What is the value of r2?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. √( r1r3)

r1/r2 = (1 - sinθ)/(1 + sinθ) = r2/r3

So,

r1/r2 = r2/r3

r22 = r1r3

r2 = √( r1r3)
