SSC CGL 2022 PYQ — Question 25

SSC CGL Tier II - Quant - 29 Jan 2022 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q25

The surface area of a sphere is 221.76 cm2. Its volume (in cm3) is (correct to one decimal place).

(Take π = 227\frac{22}{7})

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 310.5

The surface area of a sphere = 4πr24\pi r^2

⇒ 4πr24\pi r^2  = 221.76

⇒ r = 4.2

Volume of sphere = 43πr3\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

= 4/3 × 22/7 × 4.2 × 4.2 × 4.2 = 310.464

= 310.5.
