The sides of a triangle are in the ratio 4 : 3 : 2. If the perimeter of the triangle is 63 cm, then what will be the length of the largest side?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 28 cm.

Understanding/Application

Ratio of 3 sides of a triangle = 4 : 3 : 2

Let the common ratio be x.

Perimeter of triangle = Sum of all sides = 63 cm

4x + 3x + 2x = 63

9x = 63

x = 7 cm

Longest side of a triangle = 4x = 4(7) = 28 cm
