Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 14000.

According to the question,

25.2y - 32.4x = 180...............1

25.2y - 21.6x = 1380..............2

Equation (2) subtracted from Equation (1)

-32.4x + 21.6x = 180 - 1380

10.8x = 1200

x = 1200/10.8 = 1000/9

Now put the value of x in eq 1

25.2y - 32.4 × 1000/9 = 180

25.2y = 180 + 3600

y = 3780/25.2 = 150

Now, the difference between number of students in 2021 to 2022 = (150 - 1000/9) × 360 = (350/9) × 360 = 14000
