The ratio of two numbers is 3: 5. If their product is 3375, then what is the sum of both the numbers?

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 120.

The two numbers be ( 3x) and ( 5x ), where ( x) is a common factor.

⇒ (3x) × (5x) = 3375
⇒ 15x2 = 3375
⇒ x2 = 3375 / 15 = 225
⇒ x = 225=15\sqrt{225} = 15

The two numbers are ( 3x = 3 × 15 = 45) and ( 5x = 5 × 15 = 75 ).

⇒ 45 + 75 = 120
