The ratio of the total production of cars of type C and E taken together in 2013 to the total production of cars of type D in 2014 and 2016 and type E in 2017 taken together is:

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e. 8 : 13

Total production of cars of type C and E in 2013 = 52 + 36 = 88

Total production of cars of type D in 2014 and 2016 and type E in 2017 = 42 + 46 + 55 = 143

Required ratio = 88 : 143 = 8 : 13
