According to the question,

⇒ 4x+57x+5=58{4x+5\over7x+5}={5\over8}

⇒ 8(4x + 5) = 5(7x + 5)

⇒ 32x + 40 = 35x + 25

⇒ 3x = 15

⇒ x = 5

The present age of Y = 7x = 35 years
