Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 550.

Given:

The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls in a school is 11 : 15.

There are 200 more girls than boys in the school.

Calculations:

Let the number of boys and girls in a school be 11x and 15x.

According to the question;

⇒ 15x - 11x = 200

⇒ 4x = 200

⇒ x = 50

Hence, the number of boys in that school = 11x = 11 × 50 = 550
