Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 88000.

The Initial ratio of the salary of the officer and clerk = 11x : 4x

According to the question,

11x+70004x+3000=197\dfrac{11x+7000}{4x+3000}=\dfrac{19}{7}

77x + 49000 = 76x + 57000

x = 8000

So, the initial salary of the officer = 11 × 8000 = Rs 88000.
