Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 30

The ratio of the ages of Arun and Anand is 3:1.

Let ages of arun and anand be 3x and x.

A/C to question

(3x + 5) = 2(x + 5) + 5

(3x + 5) = 2x + 10 + 5

3x - 2x = 10 + 5 - 5

x = 10

Hence, present age of arun is 3x

3 × 10 = 30 years.
