The radius of the base of a cylinder is 14 cm and its curved surface area is 880 cm2. Its volume ( in cm3) is :

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 6160

Radius of cylinder (r) = 14 cm

The curved surface area of the cylinder = 880 cm2

The curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh

The volume of the cylinder = πr2h

ATQ -

2πrh = 880

2 × (22/7) × 14 × h = 880

h = 10 cm

The volume of the cylinder = (22/7) × (14)2 × 10 = 6160 cm3
