SSC CGL - 03 Dec 2022 - Shift 3 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q51

The radius of a right circular cylinder is thrice of its height. If the height of the cylinder is 2.1 cm, then what is the volume of cylinder?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 4 i.e. 261.95 cm3.

Given:

Height = 2.1 cm and radius = 3 × Height

Formula used:

Volume of cylinder = πr2h            ---- (1)

Calculations:

Radius = 3 × 2.1 = 6.3 cm

Using equation (1), we get

⇒ (22/7) × 6.3 × 6.3 × 2.1 = 261.95 cm3
