Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 192 hours.

Understanding/Application

Average = Sum of all quantities/Total number of quantities

Total time taken to make a car = 1200 hours

Percentage of time taken in J3 = 20%

Time taken in J3 = 20% of 1200 = (1200 × 20)/100 = 240 hours

Percentage of time taken in J6 = 16%

Time taken in J6 = 16% of 1200 = (1200 × 16)/100 = 192 hours

Percentage of time taken in J7 = 12%

Time taken in J7 = 12% of 1200 = (1200 × 12)/100 = 144 hours

Average = (240 + 192 + 144)/3 = 576/3 = 192 hours
