The total sales of P, R and S are how much percent less than the total sales of Q, T and U?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e.46.53 percent.

Given:

Total sales of 7 companies = 2160

Explanation:

The total sales of P, R and S = (26°+12°+70°)360°×2160{(26° + 12° + 70°) \over 360° } \times 2160

⇒ The total sales of P, R and S = 108°360°×2160{108°\over 360° } \times 2160 = 648

The total sales of Q, T and U = (150°+37°+15°)360°×2160{(150° + 37° + 15°) \over 360° } \times 2160

⇒ The total sales of Q, T and U = 202°360°×2160{202° \over 360° } \times 2160 = 1212

The required difference = 1212 - 648 = 564

Hence the total sales of P, R and S is 5641212×100{564 \over 1212} \times 100 = 46.53% less than the total sales of Q, T and U.
