Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. Rs. 2,136.

Let the Cost Price (CP) be ₹x

Profit% on selling price ₹2100 = Loss% on selling price ₹1460

⇒ 2100−xx=x−1460x\frac{2100 - x}{x} = \frac{x - 1460}{x}

⇒ 2100 − x = x − 1460 ⇒ 2100 + 1460 = 2x ⇒  3560 = 2x ⇒ x = 1780

Selling Price = CP + 20% of CP = 1780 + 0.2 × 1780 = 1780 × 1.2 = ₹ 2136
