The number of neon lamps having a life of 600 hours or more but less than 800 hours is what percentage of the total number of neon lamps having a life of 800 hours or more?

Explanation

 The correct answer is Option 2 i.e.  12.5%

Understanding/Application

The number of neon lamps having a life of 600 hours or more but less than 800 hours
= 45 + 60 + 75 + 90 = 270

the total number of neon lamps having a life of 800 hours or more
= 80 + 70 + 55 + 35 = 240

Difference = 270 - 240 = 30

Required % = (30/240)100 = 12.5%
