Mean proportion of a and b,

x² = ab [here, x is mean proportion]

Here, a = $4+2\sqrt 3\;$ and b = $\;6-3\sqrt 3$

Now,

⇒ x² = (4 + 2√3)(6 - 3√3)

⇒ x² = 24 - 12√3 + 12√3 - 18

⇒ x² = 6

⇒ x = √6
