SSC Selection Post 2019 PYQ — Question 26

The correct answer is Option 2 i.e. Olly.

The official mascot of the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018, which took place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from 28 November to 16 December 2018, was “Olly”—a character based on the endangered Olive Ridley sea turtle. Olly was unveiled in October 2018 at Puri beach as part of the tournament build‑up and symbolised both sportsmanship and Odisha’s ecological heritage. The mascot helped raise awareness about the conservation of Olive Ridley turtles, which arrive in thousands annually to nest along Odisha’s coastlines.
