The length of each diagonal of a rectangle is 50 cm. If its breadth is 14 cm, then what will be the area of the rectangle?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 672 cm2

Let the length of the rectangle be x cm-

Now,

Diagnol2 = Length2 + Width2

502 = x2 + 142

x2 = 502 - 142 = 2500 - 196

x2 = 2304

x=2304x=\sqrt{2304}

x = 48 cm

Now,

Area of the rectangle = 14cm × 48cm 

Area of the rextangle = 672 cm2
