Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e 1008.

Understanding/Application

Total number of students = 9800

Let total number of students enroll = 100y

So, the total number of students enrol in college B =16y

So, number of students in college B = (16y/100y) x 9800 = 1568

Ratio of the number of boys and girls in school = 5 : 9

Let the ratio is 5z : 9z

Total number of students in college B = 5z + 9z = 14z

Number of girls in college = (9z/14z) x 1568 = 1008

So, in college B 1008 girls enrolled.
