Maximum marks in each subject are 100.

What is the number of students whose overall percentage obtained is 80% and above?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 4.

Calculation:

Overall percentage obtained by A = (92 + 90 + 90 + 80)/400 × 100% = 88%

Overall percentage obtained by B = (90 + 80 + 85 + 85)/400 × 100% = 85%

Overall percentage obtained by G = (80 + 80 + 65 + 70)/400 × 100% = 73.75%

Overall percentage obtained by D = (85 + 80 + 82 + 75)/400 × 100% = 80.5%

Overall percentage obtained by E = (80 + 75 + 75 + 85)/400 × 100% = 78.75%

Overall percentage obtained by F = (90 + 90 + 90 + 85)/400 × 100% = 88.75%

Here, A, B, D, and F have obtained more than 80% overall percentages.

So, The number of students whose overall percentage obtained is 80% and above is 4.
