Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e 2440

Understanding Application

The relation between divisor, dividend, quotient & remainder is;

dividend = quotient × divisor + remainder

By the given data,

⇒ Divisor = 6 × quotient

⇒  Divisor = 3 × remainder

⇒ Divisor = 3 × 40

⇒ Divisor = 120

Quotient = 120/6

⇒ 20

⇒ Dividend = 20 × 120 + 40

⇒ 2400 + 40

⇒ 2440
