The dimensions of a room are 1650 cm × 1350 cm × 900 cm. What should be the size of the longest tape with which the three dimensions can be measured exactly?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e 150 cm.

Prime factorization

1650 = 2 × 3 × 5² × 11

1350 = 2 × 3³ × 5²

900 = 2² × 3² × 5²

Common factor of 2 → 2¹

Common factor of 3 → 3¹

Common factor of 5 → 5²

So, HCF = 2 × 3 × 25 = 150

The longest tape size = 150 cm
