The dimensions of a rectangular parallelepiped tank are 4 m × 3 m × 2.5 m. If it is filled with water and the cost of water is ₹25 per 1000 liters, what is the total cost to fill the tank? (1 m³ = 1000 liters)

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

Length = 4 meters

Width = 3 meters

Height = 2.5 meters

Volume = 4 × 3 × 2.5 = 30 m³

1 m³ = 1000 liters

30 m³ = 30,000 liters

Cost of water = ₹25 per 1000 liters

Total cost = (30,000 ÷ 1000) × 25 = 30 × 25 = ₹750
