The cost of levelling a circular field at Rs. 5 per m2 is Rs. 19250. What is the cost (in Rs ) of putting a fence around it at Rs. 24 per m? (Take π=227\pi=\frac{22}{7})

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 5280

Given:

The cost of levelling a circular field at Rs. 5 per m2 is Rs. 19250

The cost of putting a fence around it at Rs. 24 per m

Formula used:

Area of circle = πr2           ---- (1)

Area of circumference = 2πr            ---- (2)

Calculations:

Using equation (1), we get

⇒ πr2 = 19250

⇒ (22/7) × r2 = 19250

⇒ r2 = 1225

⇒ r = 35

Required cost of putting the fence around the circular field = 2πr × 24

⇒ 2 × (22/7) × (35) × 24

⇒ Rs 5280
