The color order in a secondary rainbow is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. Reversed compared to primary rainbow.

A secondary rainbow is formed by two internal reflections of sunlight inside raindrops, unlike the single reflection in a primary rainbow. This extra reflection causes the color sequence to reverse, placing violet on the outside and red on the inside. Because light loses energy with each reflection, secondary rainbows appear fainter and are positioned at a higher angle (approximately 50°–53°) in the sky. The dark area between the two bows is known as Alexander’s Band.
