The breadth of a room is twice its height and half its length. The volume of the room is 1728 m3 .The length of the room is:

Let the breadth of the room be b m.

Given that, b = 2h

Also b = ½l

⇒ l = 2b

Volume of room = 1728 m3

Volume of cuboid = lbh

According to the given question,

Volume of room = 2b × b × b2b \over 2

⇒ 1728 = b3

⇒ b = 12 m

Now, l = 2b

⇒ l = 24 m

Hence the length of the room is 24 m.
