The base of a parallelogram is thrice its height. If the area of the parallelogram is 1020 cm2 , then what is its height?

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e.  2852{ \sqrt{85}} cm .

Let height = x cm

Then base = 3x cm

Area = base × height = 3x × x = 3x2

Given: 3x2 = 1020 → x² = 340 → x = √340 = 2852{ \sqrt{85}}
