The average weight of L, M and N is 93 kg. If the average weight of L and M be 89 kg and that of M and N be 96.5 kg, then the weight (in kg) of M is ________.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 92

Sum of weights of L, M and N = 93 × 3 = 279 kg

L + M = 89 × 2 = 178 kg

M + N = 96.5 × 2 = 193 kg

By adding and subtacting

weight of M = 178 + 193 - 279 = 92 kg
