Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 22

The average of 19 numbers is 22.8.

⇒ sum of 19 numbers = 22.8 × 19 = 433.2

The average of the first ten numbers is 18.4.

⇒ sum of first ten numbers = 18.4 × 10 = 184

The average of the last ten numbers is 28.6.

⇒ sum of last ten numbers = 28.6 ×10 = 286

so the 10th number is =(184 + 286) -  433.2 = 36.8

If the 10th number is excluded from the given numbers, then what is the average of the remaining numbers = (433.2 - 36.8)/18 = 22.022 = nearly 22
