The area of a triangle is 480 cm2 and the ratio of its sides is 10 : 24 : 26. What is theperimeter of the triangle ?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 120 cm

Calculations:

The ratio of the sides of triangle follow pythagoras theorem, its a right angle triangle

Let the sides of the triangle be 10x, 24x and 26x

Area of right angled triangle = (1/2) × base × Height

⇒ (1/2) × 10x × 24x = 480

⇒ 120x2 = 480

⇒ x = 2

Perimeter of the triangle = 10x + 24x + 26x = 60x

⇒ 60 × 2 = 120 cm
