Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 720.

Given that

Total number of students = 3600

The total number of students (boys and girls) in school X = (45/100) × 3600 = 1620

The total number of students (boys and girls) in school Y = (30/100) × 3600 = 1080

The total number of students (boys and girls) in school Z = (25/100)× 3600 = 900

The total number of students (boys and girls) in school Y and Z together = 1080 + 900 = 1980

The total number of students (boys and girls) in school X and Y together = 1620 + 1080 = 2700

Hence, the required difference = 2700 - 1980 = 720
