In July 2018, if the sales of cars by dealer D increase by the same percentage as in June 2018 over its previous month, then what is the number of cars sold by D in July 2018?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 1014

Sales of D in May = 600

Sales of D in June = 780

Sales of D in July = let's say x

Percentage increase from May to June = (780 - 600)/600 × 100

⇒ 30%

30% increase in July: 780 × 1.3

⇒ 1014
