312+513÷113×514−512112×123−612÷7×2\frac{3\frac{1}{2}+5\frac{1}{3}\div1\frac{1}{3}\times5\frac{1}{4}-5\frac{1}{2}}{1\frac{1}{2}\times 1\frac{2}{3}-6\frac{1}{2}}\div7\times 2

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e.  -1514\frac{5}{14}

Solution :

Simplifying the mixed fractions :

Numerator = 72+163÷43×214−112{7\over2} + {16\over 3} ÷{ 4\over 3} × {21\over 4} - {11\over 2}

Applying BODMAS and solving, Numerator = 19

Denominator = 32×53−132{3\over 2} × {5\over 3} -{13\over 2}

By solving, denominator = −82-8\over2 = -4

Now applying the expression above,

19(−4)÷7×2=(−194)=−{19\over (-4)} ÷ 7 × 2 = ({-19\over 4}) = -15141\frac{5}{14} .

Hence the value of 312+513÷113×514−512112×123−612÷7×2\frac{3\frac{1}{2}+5\frac{1}{3}\div1\frac{1}{3}\times5\frac{1}{4}-5\frac{1}{2}}{1\frac{1}{2}\times 1\frac{2}{3}-6\frac{1}{2}}\div7\times 2 is -15141\frac{5}{14} .
