Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. pinnacle.

Pinnacle means the highest or most successful point, which fits the context because the revolution reached its peak in 1789.

The other options do not fit as well:

  • Foundation refers to the beginning.
  • Middle is too general.
  • Fall refers to a decline, which is not the case here.

Thus, the correct sentence will be:
'The French Revolution is a revolutionary movement that occurred in France between 1787 and 1799 and reached to its pinnacle in 1789.'
