Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. disappear.

Context: The sentence describes what we observe when a ship sails out to sea. The blank should describe the action of the ship gradually going out of sight.

Analysis of the given options:
Being disappeared
– grammatically incorrect passive form.
Disappear – verb meaning to go out of sight.
Have disappeared – present perfect, but not suitable for “begins to.”
Having disappeared – a perfect participle, doesn’t fit the structure.

Correct word: disappear

Reason: The phrase “begins to” should be followed by a base verb, and “disappear” is the correct form. Other options either have incorrect verb forms or don’t follow standard grammatical structures.

Hence, the chosen option is correct.
