In the following passage, some words have been deleted. Fill in the blanks with the help of the alternatives given. Select the most appropriate option for each blank.

Every day for a whole year, all kinds of holy men, hermits, scholars and nobles came and related to the priests their deeds of (1)_________, and the priests in solemn council heard their claims.
