Rohan alone can do a work in 10 days and Mohan alone can do the same work in 15 days. In how many days will they together complete the same work?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 6 days.

Rohan can complete the work in = 10 days

Rohan's work rate = 1/10

Mohan can complete the work in = 15 days

Mohan's work rate = 1/15

Combined work rate = 1/10 + 1/15

⇒ 3+230=5/30=1/6\frac{3+2}{30} = 5/30 =1/6 per day

The time taken to complete the work together is = 1/Combined work rate

⇒ 1/(1/6) = 6 days
