Rice worth 126 per kg and 135 per kg are mixed with a third variety in the ratio of 1 : 1 : 2. If the mixture is worth 153 per kg, then the price of the third variety per kg (in Rs.) is:

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 175.5.

Let's assume the price of the third variety = Rs x per kg

According to the question,

126×1+135×1+x×21+1+2=153\frac{126\times1+135\times1+x\times2}{1+1+2}=153

⇒ 261 + 2x = 612

x = 351/2 = Rs 175.5 per kg
