SSC CHSL 2025 PYQ — Question 46

SSC CHSL - 21 Nov 2025 - Shift 3 • Reasoning • Q46

P walks 30 km towards north and reaches point A. He turns right and walks 15 km to reach point B. He finally turns right and walks 20 km to reach point C. How far (in km) is point A from point C and in which direction is P facing now?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

=(15−0)2+(10−30)2=225+400=625 = \sqrt{(15-0)^2 + (10-30)^2} = \sqrt{225 + 400} = \sqrt{625}

A = (0, 30)

C = (15, 10)

Distance

=(15−0)2+(10−30)2=225+400=625 = \sqrt{(15-0)^2 + (10-30)^2} = \sqrt{225 + 400} = \sqrt{625}

Distance = 25 km

To get from C to A, one must travel northwest.

The cardinal direction in the given options is north.
