The given table shows the number (in percent) of employees working in departments of an organization. The table also shows the ratio of males and females and the ratio of employees living in city Z and employees living in city Y. The total number of employees in the organization are 80000.

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1, i.e. 11360

No. of residents of city Y marking in each department

= (10%×9/10 + 22%×19/22 + 12%×1/6 + 20%×3/4 + 36%×13/18)× 80000

= (9% + 19% + 2% + 15% + 26%) × 80000

=71% × 80000

Required average = (71% × 80000)/5 = 11360
