Mohan and Rohan undertook a word for Rs 3300. Mobas alone can do that work in 10 days and Rohan alone can do the same work in 12 days. It they went sogether, then what will be the difference in the amount they raceive ?

Mohan's rate = 1 / 10  of the work per day

Rohan's rate = 1 / 12  of the work per day

Combined rate = 1 / 10 + 1 / 12

⇒ 110=660,112=560\frac{1}{10} = \frac{6}{60}, \quad \frac{1}{12} = \frac{5}{60}

Combined rate = 660+560=1160\frac{6}{60} + \frac{5}{60} = \frac{11}{60}

Time taken = Total workCombined rate=33001160=3300×6011=18000/11=1636.36\frac{\text{Total work}}{\text{Combined rate}} = \frac{3300}{\frac{11}{60}} = 3300 \times \frac{60}{11} = 18000 / 11 = 1636.36  days

Mohan's share = 1101160=611\frac{\frac{1}{10}}{\frac{11}{60}} = \frac{6}{11}

Rohan's share = 1121160=511\frac{\frac{1}{12}}{\frac{11}{60}} = \frac{5}{11}
