According to the given question,

Let the side BO is equal to x.

In the above figure, triangle MNO is similar to triangle MAB,

${MA \over MN} = {MB \over MO}$

⇒ ${2.5 \over 10} = {2.2 \over (2.2 + x)}$

⇒ 2.5(2.2 + x) = 22

⇒ 5.5 + 2.5x = 22

⇒ 2.5x = 16.5

⇒ x = 6.6
