In the triangle, if AB = AC and ∠ABC = 72º, then ∠BAC is:

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e 36º

In the △ABC,

If AB = AC, then ∠ABC = ∠ACB = 72º. (Property of isosceles triangle)

So, 

∠BAC = 180º - (72º + 72º)

 = 180º - 144º

 = 36º
