Each of the girls have given an impressive dance performance.

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. have given.

  1. The error lies in option 2 because of the wrong use of "Subject-verb agreement".
  2. We need to replace "Have" with "Has" for making the statement grammatically correct.

Grammatical concept:- 

  • Subjects and verbs must AGREE with one another in number (singular or plural). Thus, if a subject is singular, its verb must also be singular; if a subject is plural, its verb must also be plural.
  • "Each of the Plural noun + singular verb" is the correct phrase.
  • The chosen option contains the ERROR hence, it will be the correct choice.
