Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 36.5%.

Let total students = 100

So, Boys =35 and Girls = 65

Failed boys = 0.3 × 35 = 10.5

Failed girls = 0.4 × 65 = 26

Total failed = 10.5 + 26 = 36.5

Percentage failed = (36.5/100) × 100 = 36.5%
