Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option  2 i.e. 23000.

Let the total number of voters enrolled in the election = V

Number of votes cast = 0.80V

Valid votes = 0.90 × 0.80 × V = 0.72V

0.60 × 0.72V = 9936

⇒ 0.432V = 9936

⇒ V = 9936/0.432 = 23000
