Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 25000.

Let the total number of votes be x.

Total number of votes casted = 80% of x

Total number of val;id votes = 96% of 80% of x

According to the gioven question,

15360 = 80% of 96% of 80% of x

⇒ 80100×96100×80100×x{80 \over 100} \times {96 \over 100} \times {80 \over 100} \times x = 15360

⇒ 16 × 24 × x = 9600000

⇒ x = 25000
